Healthy Habits - Day 2: GET MOVING⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ One of my non-negotiables each day is to move my body. To not think my workout has to be a certain way or for a certain duration in order “to count”. Rather, I like to view it as making the most of the body you are blessed with each day. Asking yourself how do you like to move? and what do I need today? Welcome to Day 3: CLEANSE⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today, we are focusing on WATER!💧🌊⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yesterday, we moved our bodies. One of my favorite things to do after a good workout is to take a hot shower and smell fresh and clean!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Showers and/or baths are great ways to cleanse our energetic bodies as well. Maybe you are someone who works with people and may accidentally take things on. Go into your bath or shower with the intention of cleansing and starting fresh. Add a couple drops of your favorite oil to a ledge in your shower where the water wont hit it - I love breathe or eucalyptus to open up my airways! If you have access to a bath and unscented epsom salts, add a couple drops to the salts, pour into the water and soak for 20 min. I like to sip from a glass mason jar with some of the recommendations below!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Are you someone that could benefit from drinking more water? This is a great way to cleanse your body as well as maintain energy and stamina throughout your day. Try adding doTERRA essential oils to your water! It's so hard to choose a favorite...lemon, grapefruit, spearmint, or lime. Healthy Habits - Day 4: MEDITATE⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yesterday, we CLEANSED our physical and energetic bodies and now we will cleanse any feelings of overwhelm and calm our minds. The purpose of meditation is not to rid ourselves of thoughts but rather feel so calm that we are able to witness them without attachment. We see them as though they are outside of us and we come home to our truth - the core of who we are aside from our thoughts, to dos, etc.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I love pairing an oil with a meditation to anchor in the a sense of calm each time you smell that oil going forward. They will also help to expand and deepen our breath. A favorite for this is Breathe essential oil. It’s a respiratory blend that helps bring us into the present moment and connect to breath.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I know it can be tough to make time for this practice in your life, especially when people are in town, you’re traveling, or you question if it really helps. I promise you even 3-5 min for yourself each day - a couple breaths, moments of silence with your eyes closed, door shut does wonders for how you respond versus REACT to situations and conversations. Here is proof of me closing our bathroom door to our one bedroom apartment and taking a moment to myself to breathe before starting a day full of family in town fun!
